Spring is here...

After so much tragedy we still could not ignore that spring has come. So we celebrated it with a decadent brunch on the 35th floor of the Mandarin-Oriental Hotel right at Columbus Circle on the South-Western Corner of Central Park...

Yesterday, we rode through the entire Bronx as a part of a large group of bikers affiliated with , starting in the north next to Woodlawn Cemetery, ending in the once infamous South Bronx. Here's a view of the beautiful section that runs next to Bronx River Parkway:
If only more people rode their bikes in the Bronx...
In the evening, we went to see a theater performance at the Metropolitan Playhouse - in a very intimate setting: only about 60 spectators seated on 3 sides around the stage. "The Great Divide" by William Vaughn Moody made me actually hope for a happy end because I was vexed by the protagonist's suffering. Quite the classic cathartic way of enjoying theater :). Very good actors, maybe the play is a little outdated - but still historically interesting (at least that's what the NYT wrote, and I agree).
It's great to have so many cultural options - not only diversity in food, but also in theaters...

Thanks for such a good weekend - it will be the last "golden" one for a long time as my intense work hours are re-starting... But I've been lucky enough.
