-------------------------

Iceland is really a beautiful country. The capital city Reykjavik is absolutely tiny but "international".  Every day I just walked around in the city and it took only 15 minutes from my hostel to the coast-line.

On the first day I was in the famous church which name is Hallsgrim. It is one of the four highest buildings in Reykjavik. From there you can have a wonderful view of the whole city. That day I really got a perfect weather. The sky was so blue and clear that even some of my Chinese friends doubted if I psed (photoshoped) the photos!

My answer was definitely - NO!

Then I started my Whale-Watching trip with the boat called Andreas. The ticket seller said it was the biggest boat for this activity. The whole tour lasts 3 hours and unfortunately I didn't see any whales there! I  felt okay because the ocean itself is for me also very beautiful. But some American travelers were quite disappointed. :-D

As a refund I got a new ticket. (The story didn't end yet...)

On the second day I visited the famous tourist sightseeings - Gullfoss Waterfall, the Geyser Areas and the Pingvellier national Park - with the bus tour. I loved the national park. Iceland has a perfect environment.

The third day I was in the blue lagoon. Just enjoyed the warm water and the shinning sun! There I met a nice couple - the man is a German & the woman is a American. They had lived in NY for 9 years and now they are working in Zuerich. They recommended the international centre in NY in which I am now improving my English. There were also two old Chinese couple from Beijing. - You see the Chinese are everywhere! Everything was nice, except that I was really burnt. = = Now I think I'm not from China but from Vietnam or Malaysia. :-)

The fourth day was a museum day. The weather was rainy. I was in the national museum of Iceland. One thing I found quite interesting was that the ancestors of most Icelandic females were from England and Scotland but that of most males were from Scandinavian.

Well, well, does it mean that the Scandinavia men just robbed the English women for about 1200 years ago?

The country is young comparing with Chinese history. - I have to say. But the museum is still worth to have a look.

And then  I also visited the art museum of the city. It was just so so.  One thing I have to mention was that the city really has a few of nice bookstores. I bought 2 Tin-Tin comics with reduced price.

The last day I took the boat again for my Whale-Watching! And this time I just prayed that the whales could appear. And, and....

Yes, there was HE! (or SHE?)

With satisfaction I ended my trip in Iceland and flew to NY and began the new life.

I like this country (especially the water! The water tastes so good even better than the mineral water!) but I don't think I want to live there.

Why? Because in winter they don't have sun which could make me depressive.

But in summer it is just so cool that you don't have the night.  For a traveler Iceland is a nice choice especially in summer!
